"The Bringing Theory to Practice 8 Planning Grant helped Pace University to strengthen its campus culture for learning through assessment, and to broaden the use of high impact practices among faculty. The Assessment News newsletter was created, bringing assessment information, best practices and the opportunity for collegial exchange to 414 full-time faculty and 695 part-time faculty. The Bringing Theory to Practice Conference introduced high impact practices to 104 individuals. Almost 80 benefitted from the full information and interactions provided by the conference. The activities of the Bringing Theory to Practice Project at Pace in 2009 and early 2010 provided the content for a substantive proposal that resulted in a Thinkfinity Grant that will fund the piloting of high impact practices in the Fall of 2011. Both faculty willing to pilot a high impact practice and the Pace faculty mentors who guide them and serve as a resource will receive stipends."
