"In this research initiative, we are examining the long-term effects of civic, community, and diversity learning experiences during college on numerous psychosocial outcomes in emerging adulthood, such as psychological well-being, perspective-taking, prosocial purpose, forgivingness, and empathy. We are scheduled to administer online surveys to University of Notre Dame alumni who graduated in 2001 or 2003 and link this data with Cooperative Institutional Research Program surveys that participants completed in their freshman and senior years of college. This three-wave longitudinal design will allow us to assess college experiences and the extent to which these experiences are associated with change and development for more than a decade."
