This initiative offered a Happiness Boot Camp (HBC) to second-year students living in Harris Hall. With programs such as HBC, it is no surprise that one of the top pillars that emerged during Emory Campus Life’s 2014-2015 strategic plan was flourishing.
The implementation not only included the Happiness Boot Camp, but several stakeholders wanted to create new technology that would make the living-learning community sustainable. This includes:
- Developing a Flourish Coaching program based on the VIA (Virtues in Action) self-assessment
- Bringing a Well-being course to the living-learning community
- Creating fellowship position who supervises flourishing advisors (FA’s). These FA’s would develop programs and experiential programs to apply new knowledge about well-being
- Common Readings
- Mentor Program
